Nearly 130 million girls were out of school before the pandemic — and now 20 million more girls are at risk of dropping out because of it. Especially, low- and middle-income countries have seen a stagnant in girl's enrolment with nearly 90% of girls not being able to read a single sentence by the age of ten.
